About Coast2Coastin' Dance Events
Coast2Coastin’ (C2C) was setup to provide people with a love of West Coast Swing, Smooth Slotted Jive, and a taste for superb smooth tunez, somewhere to go to listen to, socialise with, or dance in a socialable and friendly environment.
Hosted and run by Ian B-Decker who was co-founder of The DoubleDeckers back in 2017.
He started streaming during the first pandemic lock down to broadcast live shows and playlists on his popular mixcloud site & his website.
Ian hosts the events along with his small team of helpers, and also DJs on the night. He plays familiar and popular danceable tracks.
His passion for music results in him seeking out brand new tunes not yet on the circuits, which he features in his mixcloud sets.
Ian can dance both jive and West Coast Swing, so he knows what kind of music gets people onto the dance floor.
He regularly searches out the latest and greatest sounding tunes to dance too, often before they become big hits both in the charts and on the dance floor. That said he never forgets dancers also like to get up and dance to their favourite tracks, so he will also play lots of your favourite tracks during the night.
Whether you’re a seasoned dance enthusiast, or beginner, or simply looking for a fun, memorable night out, Coast2Coastin’ is the dance event for you. After you experience a night at one of Ian’s West Coast Swing freestyles, you’ll understand what makes Coast2Coastin’ so special.

Then come on down to one of the Coast2Coastin’ West Coast Swing Events— we promise you a great time full of friendly people.
I will bring you all of your favourite dance tracks, as well as a selection of the latest tunes and play lots of old favourites as well, so you’re sure to have an amazing night of freestyle dancing. Whether you prefer West Coast Swing (my favourite), slotted Jive or the occasional blues style of dance. Coming to Coast2Coastin’ freestyles is where you can meet old friends , make new friends or bring with you that special someone, you will find a fun and easy going atmosphere and good vibes will guarantee you’ll have a fantastic evening.
Following the pandemic, we remain committed to keeping our dancers safe, so, please note, as a condition of entry, everyone will be asked to show proof of a negative lateral flow test. This is help to reassure everyone, that we take your health seriously and will greatly assist in trying to prevent the spread of COVID. We will also ask you for your name and contact details, so that in the unfortunate event some one does test positive we can make sure all our attendees are informed.
We will also make hand sanitiser and testing kits available at our front desk.
